We’re off to see the wizard
What is The Wizard of Oz Really About?
Have you ever watched The Wizard of Oz and felt like Dorothy was in a whole different land than the rest of us?
The Wizard of Oz is obviously not about a girl and her dog....
It also has a story about the Tin Man, the Scarecrow, and the Cowardly Lion. They all need help and they go to see the wizard. The whole point of the movie is that you should never give up on your dreams and keep on fighting for what you want.
What can we learn from the original Movie?
In many ways, the original Wizard of Oz was a social commentary on the idea of the "melting pot" in America. The story is set in Kansas, which is a setting that represents a time before the country became a melting pot. In fact, this book was published in 1900 and it is clear that Baum wanted to make sure his characters were representative of all groups from all walks of life in America.
The Bible and the Tarot Cards say that the Crown is behind the Scenes
It seams to portray a "Crown" behind the scenes of each and every moment of our lives. The Bible says that God controls all things, but He allows us free will to choose between good and evil.
What does “Oz” stand for? Ounces…Gold, what is really being measured.
The book starts with a foreword that says "What's the use of a book without pictures or conversations?" Many have dismissed this as an example of the author's laziness. But I think it is actually intentional misdirection. What you hear and what you see are two different things, and the author purposely leaves us confused about the true nature of Oz. This confusion concludes in her last sentence, "Auntie Em! Auntie Em!"
How do we take down the Beast System?
The Wizard of Oz was first published in 1900, but it became popular in 1939 when the movie was released. The author's true intention for this story is still unknown, but many people believe that The Wizard of Oz speaks to the political situation at the time.
